Hi, my potential Asbury friend!
Thanks for searching the Internet as part of your journey for spiritual integrity. Many people don't care about spirituality. You do. Asbury is a place where other people care, too. A place to clarify your identity and explore your spiritual purpose in life. Every day I ask myself, "What do I really believe? I know what people tell me I'm supposed to believe. But I'm now at a place in my life where I can be honest. This is my spiritual journey. I get to decide what I believe, and what I don't!" I am reminded of my favorite prayer in the Bible: "I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24) That accurately describes so much of my struggle. Maybe yours, too. Jesus keeps attracting me. I do not fully understand why, but he does. There is something real about him. Unpretentious. Something in him I can trust. Something in Him I want in my life! Something good. Something solid. Something to fill the void in my life. If this makes sense, then connecting, studying, serving, and especially worshipping at Asbury is the place you should be. Every day our congregation prays that Jesus will continue to make himself known and experienced in this place, in life-transforming ways. Asbury is a place where... Yes, we believe you are gifted. If you want to believe this, too, Asbury is the place for you. If you're not sure, join us in the ancient prayer, "I believe; help my unbelief!" God expects great things of you! Allow us to help you discover what that might look like. Come and connect with us for worship, for study, and for service. We'd like to be your friend.
